blog for Dec. 14

rI found interesting the news report about the FDA not being able to do their job of being sure our food supply is safe. The FDA needs more money to do the job well. With all the recalls and reports of unsafe foods and products, it seems important that the agency in charge should have what it needs to do the job. There is a fraction against giving the FDA any more money. With a big government agency there will be waste, but a safe food supply is very important. Here is the link. http://health.usnews.com/usnews/health/healthday/071130/fda-report-says-nations-health-at-risk.htm

Hi Mary!
Wow! That's scary news! This is another prime example of how federal funding is not being used for the right reasons. How scary that it could devaste the quality of our food inspection.
This was a great website!

PS. Your blog page looks great!

OK...don't get me started on the FDA. Too bad, I already have. As far as I am concerned, they are not to be trusted. I believe they make unholy alliances with corporations, i.e. pharmaceutical companies, to name one. The FDA has more power than what the average person is aware of. Who knows, you may read about a school nurse being sued by the FDA for telling a student the gel from an aloe vera plant will help heal their burn/cut. I better quit ranting before the government taps into my computer to eaves drop.
