This article is from an NEA publication about President Bush's proposed budget for education. His budget proposals came out just a few days after his State of the Union address. In his address he talks wonderfully of the good NCLB is doing and how great our educational system is and then he puts out a budget with major cuts to major programs. One of the programs being Career and Tech Ed. so I am not a supportor of this budget.

This article is in support of CTE, which ties in with the first article. It does not have to do with computer technology. But the article points out the importance of CTE and preparing students for the future.

Hi Mary,
It is interesting that Bush has cut vital programs that educators need in order to comply with the NCLB laws. Very frustrating!
Mary,
That sounds like the world of politics! They always have good ideas to make change but then they're so quick to cut funding! In many cases, its the students that suffer the most. It doesn't make sense!
